Hi! 👋 🙂 I'm Hazmin, a Full-Stack Developer based in Prague with a focus on front-end development. Although I began my career as a Civil Engineer in Malaysia, I have always been drawn to programming for its logic and creative possibilities. In 2020, I completed an intense (but enjoyable) MIT-awarded coding bootcamp at Coding Bootcamp Praha, which was a deciding factor for my career path change. I enrolled for a Computer Science degree programme at a top-ranking modern university — Teesside University, Middlesbrough, United Kingdom (via Prague campus) — as soon as Covid restrictions were lifted. I graduated in 2025 with First Class Honours 🎉✨🥇

I "speak" JavaScript, PHP, Java, C#, Python and Clojure. I have built and deployed full-stack applications using React, Node.js, Alpine.js, Express.js, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Laravel. I especially enjoy creating clean, accessible interfaces with focus on usability, but I'm equally comfortable working with back-end systems and databases. I have some hands-on experience with installing and managing LLM models, and benchmarking their performance across different hardware and platforms. I am currently pursuing my Master's degree at Teesside, U.K. (part-time, at Prague campus) while preparing for the next step in my development career. I enjoy learning new, evolving technologies and I am always prepared for new challenges. I am open to opportunities in both front-end and back-end roles.

When I'm not coding, you will probably find me taking street or nature photographs in and around Prague and the wider Czech Republic, hiking, camping, canoeing or generally enjoying the outdoors. At home, I enjoy playing video games, cooking, baking and reading. I'm also a big fan of music and enjoy attending live concerts whenever I can.

  • Description: A 2D platformer game that challenges players to move their "Ninja Frog" character to collect points while avoiding obstacles. Features retro pixel art graphics and engaging gameplay.

Bohemian Shrooms — 3D Game Prototype

  • Description: A prototype of a 3D game inspired by the Czech national sport: mushroom picking. Players explore a lively forest, searching for various mushroom species. The aim is to collect the edible ones while avoiding inedible or downright poisonous ones, or other forest hazards. The game features cultural elements from the region, including classical background music by Zdeněk Fibich.

Bookpedia — Reactive Web App

  • Description: An early university project, a reactive book cataloguing web app. Public users can search a catalogue for books by title, author or genre. Logged-in admin manages the catalogue by adding new entries and editing or deleting existing ones.

Marknif Garage — Appointment Scheduling System

  • Description: As part of one of my final year projects, I built a custom appointment-management system for an actual client (a car-repair workshop). Logged-in customers can schedule and make appointments, choosing both the time (from time slots available) and their preferred mechanic. Admin (the workshop) allocates available time slots and employees, and manages or cancels existing appointments.

Pure Thai Massage — Website

  • Description: A simple responsive web presentation for a Prague-based Thai massage business, listing their expertise, services, prices and location. Clean yet visually engaging as requested, available in both English and Czech. Particular care was taken to ensure responsiveness on mobiles.
